Hello! I’m Dr. Keisha, a licensed speech-language pathologist who offers speech and language therapy in Atlanta, Georgia and the English-speaking Caribbean. With a Ph.D. in child language acquisition coupled with my 20-year career working with children, adults, and families, I am a master clinician whose mission is to facilitate clients being clear and confident communicators.
I believe that individualized early intervention is the best intervention. I specialize in holistic assessment and intervention with children and families. I also work with families who aim to prevent possible communication delays by offering caregiver training even when there isn’t a current concern.
I also work as a direct service provider with school settings to deliver high-quality, evidence-based. culturally and linguistically responsive services in preschool and elementary school settings. Teacher professional development is also a part of the services I offer when I partner with schools and communities.
In Atlanta, we serve Kirkwood (where our also office is located), Decatur, Oakhurst, Atlanta, East Atlanta, East Lake, Candler Park, Emory, Avondale Estates, Grant Park, and beyond. In the English-speaking Caribbean, we serve Trinidad and Tobago, St. Lucia, and other islands and territories.
Our Clinical Services
Pediatric Speech Therapy
Early communication skills shape the quality of our lives. Our practice specializes in early childhood speech and language assessments and intervention. We are trusted practitioners who deliver evidence-based care with a trusted record of partnering with families who are worried about their young child’s speech and language development.
Caregiver Coaching
Caregivers, including parents, grandparents, and siblings, are powerful communication partners. Through 1:1 coaching and tailored programming, we strive to empower caregivers to foster language growth and rehabilitation in the child’s home and community. Caregivers are also teachers and we are proud to partner with schools to deliver professional development activities focused on communication development.
School-Based Services
We partner with schools to offer IEP support for speech and language therapy. We deliver both individual and group therapeutic intervention to ensure full compliance with students’ IEPs. We also partner with preschools and K-12 institutions to deliver caregiver and community trainings related to speech and language development and progress.
Adult Services
We work with adults in need of speech and language rehabilitation. Services are home- and community-based with the goal of assisting adults to return to their cherished activities of daily living after a stroke or other brain injury. Caregiver coaching and support is important for adult clients and is a component of the services we provide.
