As a Speech and Language Therapist and capacity-building consultant, the core of my work is the belief that every person deserves access to high-quality speech and language therapy that respects their identity, culture, and pace of learning. By integrating family coaching and clinical expertise, I ensure each client receives personalized, effective support that is responsive to the expressed needs of clients, families, and communities .

I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree (summa cum laude) in Speech and Language Pathology and Education from New York University, my Masters’ of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from City University of New York – Queens College and my Ph.D. in Child Language from Howard University.  I’ve worked globally and in a variety of settings, including the Centers for Disease Control in the U.S., non-governmental organizations, private and independent schools, large school systems, and public health and policy organizations (e.g., UNICEF).

I love clinical work and am proud to be a practicing speech and language therapy since 2006.  I’m the owner of The Therapeutic Workshoppe, a speech-language therapy practice that provides speech-language therapy in Atlanta and the English-speaking Caribbean through in-person and virtual care. I’m licensed to practice in the State of Georgia, clinically registered with the Council of the Professions Related to Medicine in Trinidad and Tobago, the Allied Health Council in St. Lucia, and am proud to hold the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence since 2007.  From working in large school systems in New York City and Washington, D.C. to knocking on the doors of homes while serving as an early interventionist, my clinical work is focused on supporting clients and families with communication milestones and concerns.

In addition to my clinical work, I’m also proud to serve as an adjunct professor in New York University’s Department of Communicative Disorders where I teach courses on culturally, linguistically and globally responsive clinical practices.  I continually extend my learning as a practitioner,  having recently completed Vanderbilt University’s STAT Training to screen for autism in young children and ICDL’s DIR Introductory Course to improve developmental and emotional outcomes in the young children I serve.

Get in contact!  I’m looking forward to meeting you, whether you’re in Atlanta, Georgia, the English-speaking Caribbean, or virtually!
