About Dr. Keisha
Thanks so much for stopping by!
2026 marks my 20th year delivering high quality, evidence-based, family-centered services for pediatric and adult clients!
I completed my undergraduate studies in Speech-Language Pathology and Education at New York University, obtained my Masters’ of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology at City University of New York – Queens College, and obtained my Ph.D. in Child Language at Howard University.
I have been an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist since 2007 and have worked in just about every practice setting in both education and health in New York, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Georgia, and various islands in the English-speaking Caribbean region. As a master clinician, I’ve had the pleasure of being a school practitioner in public, private and charter schools. I have worked within early intervention systems in multiple states. And I’ve had the joy of working in home and community settings with adults who aim to return to what they love, whether it be golfing, grandparenting or gardening.
In addition to my role as a master clinician, I serve as an adjunct professor in New York University’s graduate program in speech-language pathology and a visiting lecturer in the graduate program in speech-language pathology at City University of New York – Queens College. I have also served as a clinical supervisor for both graduate student clinicians and clinical fellows since 2008. Within these roles, I mentor the next generation of clinicians while keeping current on the clinical applications of research in our field.
I’ve always been a clinician and I have also been very curious about how public health systems impact children and their families. Between 2019 and 2024, I served as a fellow and Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia. While my time at the CDC was not clinical in nature, my skills using data to advance care coupled with my desire to contribute to the evidence of our field were fostered in these roles. Data are numbers. Data are also stories. I use both to provide family-centered and collaborative care to the clients and families I serve.
It’s been 20 amazing years! I’m looking forward to meeting and working with you and your family, whether you’re in Atlanta, Georgia or in the English-speaking Caribbean.
