What are your concerns?

Your concern may be related to a possible receptive and expressive speech and language delay. A speech and language consultation would be our first step to determine if there is a delay and how speech and language intervention can help.

Your concern may be related to a possible concern with articulation and/or phonological skills. We would start with a consultation to determine the extent of the concern and how speech and language intervention can help.

This may be a concern about your child’s receptive language development (ability to understand) and their ability to attend to language. Once we determine the extent of the concern through a consultation, we can plan next steps for assessment and intervention.

Continued rehabilitation after being sent home from hospital or inpatient rehabilitation is important for people who have experienced any kind of brain injury, including a stroke. We focus on helping clients return to their treasured activities of daily living with confidence in their communication. We also work with patients who have experienced traumatic brain injuries, Parkinson’s Disease and other neurologic conditions.

Important note: Services for adults occur in their home setting.

We can help! We also assist families in ensuring that Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) align with their child’s needs.  Our first step is a consultation.

This may be related to concerns about pragmatic language or social language skills. Through consultation, we can determine the best next steps regarding individual or group intervention.
